Kiro student program offers eligible university students 1,000 credits per month free for one year. Kiro is an agentic IDE by AWS that helps developers go from prototype to production with spec-driven development. The Kiro student program supports features like conversational coding, multi-file operations, AI-powered code generation, spec-driven development, and agent hooks for automation. Eligible schools include Arizona State University (ASU), Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, California State University Fullerton (CSUF), Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), Georgia Institute of Technology, Hampton University, New York University (NYU), University of Chicago, University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin), University of Toronto, and University of Waterloo. Students at other schools can submit their student email to request inclusion. To activate the Kiro student program, sign up at app.kiro.dev and complete student verification. Regular Kiro Pro plan is $20/month for 1,000 credits, making this a significant free benefit for qualifying students.
